How do I open a company account?
The first step is to email myntkaup@myntkaup.is with your company's name and ID number (kennitala). We identify the beneficial owners, carry out due diligence, ask you a few questions and then set up the account.
Can the company get statements for its accounts?
Yes. Companies get all the statements their accountant needs, including transaction history and year-end statements as CSV or PDF. You can download them in the web app under Færslur → Export or have them sent by email.
What does it cost for a company?
Fees follow the Myntkaup fee schedule and are explained on Fees and costs. If your company plans to trade large amounts, contact us and ask about a fee discount.
Is Myntkaup licensed?
Yes. Myntkaup ehf. holds a crypto-asset service provider (CASP) licence under MiCA from the Central Bank of Iceland. Read more on Licence and security.
