Myntkaup Learn editorial policy
Who writes Myntkaup Learn, how we choose sources, how often content is reviewed and how to tell us about a mistake.

Myntkaup Learn, called Rafmyntaskólinn in Icelandic, is Myntkaup's education section about crypto. The goal is simple: anyone should be able to learn about crypto in plain language and understand both the opportunities and the risks.
Who writes the content?
Everything in Myntkaup Learn is written and published by the Myntkaup editorial team. The team is responsible for every article and every glossary entry.
We use AI tools to help with research, drafting and translation, and the articles' cover images are made with AI. No article goes live until a person on the editorial team has read it, checked the facts against the sources and edited the text.
How we work
- Plain language. We write for beginners and explain every technical term, often with its Icelandic name alongside.
- Primary sources. We rely on laws, public authorities and original documents, such as the Central Bank of Iceland, the Icelandic tax authority (Skatturinn), the Icelandic parliament, ESMA and the projects' own whitepapers. Sources are listed at the end of each article.
- Neutrality. We don't predict prices and we don't encourage anyone to buy. We describe the risks as clearly as the benefits.
- The same content in two languages. Every article exists in Icelandic and English, with the same facts.

No. Myntkaup Learn is for education only. It does not take your circumstances into account and is not investment, tax or legal advice. On tax matters, we recommend talking to your accountant or Skatturinn.
How does the content relate to Myntkaup?
Myntkaup ehf. is licensed by the Central Bank of Iceland as a crypto-asset service provider (CASPCASP (crypto-asset service provider)A company licensed under MiCA to provide crypto-asset services, such as buying, selling, custody or transfers.). Where it matters to the reader, for example on buying, costs or custody, we explain how things work at Myntkaup. Facts about Myntkaup come from the same register as the rest of the site, so they are the same everywhere. The education itself should hold true wherever you trade.
How often is the content reviewed?
Every article and glossary entry shows the date it was last reviewed. We review all content at least once a year, and straight away if laws, rules or facts change.

We welcome corrections. Email myntkaup@myntkaup.is and tell us which article and which sentence. We fix mistakes as quickly as we can and update the article's review date.
